i generally overthinks and so as date approaches or better to say as exam approaches , the overthinking boosts and thats where i failed...so here comes 2 division process
the first one reharding general overthinking ...
you have to accept it and sometimes you need not to write everything in your head...leave things imperfect..leave things incomplete...never fully try to perfect your life.
understand the root cause behind it...for me it is cse..as a way to perfectly score...so to say my root cause is perfection in cse
...naresh saxena perfectly wrote this
... here the pull is thoughts...and the river is cse ...thought paar karne se cse paar nhi hota ...uske liye cse main utarna padta hai...
sochne se kuch bhi nhi hota bhai..jitni bhi overthinking hai...kab exam clesar hoga..mujhe itna time ho gya..kya main fail ho jaunga...parents / family ...in sab ke answers se kuch nhi hoga...bas dimag thoda shant ho jayega..its not the root cause to solve these questions.
now here comes the action part..nadi paar karne ke liye usme utaro...
why such overthinking happening to me , answer is I fail in planning... i am not working, and an empty mind is devil's home.
so what to do
my economics teacher say something important regarding this
" tum bahut overthink karoge exam ke time...so solution is this to plan...cheezon ko time ke hissab se plan kar lo"
where i fail , main plan ko follow nahi kar paaya or better to say maine khud ke hisaab se plan nahi banaya...main toppers ke monthwise plan banaya aur fail ho gya ...
now i will make plan as what suits me ...
no. 1 rule .. never give 100 percent in the day ... it will be only once in a month
no. 2 rule ... plan a week with all subjects with all the things as revision, mocks, news, mains pyqs, optional and csat...judge the weeks by outputs...my personality get bored with single subject...
no. 3 rule... fulfill the weeks not the days
no. 4 rule... avoid writing every thought ..just let it paas .., overthinking hogi hi...bass khali na baitho...kaam kro.. tarhets par dhyan do...use thoda kam ho jayegi overthinking...but hoti rahegi hi..
and when your focus in on the weeks ...you will faint out the uncertainity of the future.. your concern then becomes the week target and nothing else.
because, i failed as planning the months with the subjects ...they are too big and too much ...it does not suits me.
now , the big one : how to decide targets for a week
imagine your ideal day: all the chapters you will study, all the mocks and all the newspapers, csat , option , gs , and revision
then multiply it by 7 ... then this is all you have to study in week, now mix all this in first week with zero backlog....and study only 80 percent in a day mean to say , never fulfil the day consciously by choice ...so you will generate some backlog .and since there is backlog... mix it in the next week and let these targets run.
basically , idealism * 7 days = mixture everyday in realism (80percent +some backlog) ...
Ideal day =1 topic gs + 1 topic psir + 1 topic csat + 1 newspaper+ 1 mock test + writing 1 answer of mains+ 1 topic of backlog + 1 topic gs revision. And it includes notes making.
thus ideal week would be = 6-7 topic gs , 6-7 topic psir , 6 newspaper, 5-6 mock test, 5-6 answers , 5-6 backlog, 5-6 topic revision.
