Mistakes and a lot of mistakes...
so first thing first... the thing that differentiate between being a child to being a conscious sensible person is how you treat your mistakes. in childhood, we often get called, criticised, insulted or sometimes even punished. this feeling started to increase as we grow as a teenager . and how a person learn? by seeing, observing his environment...so with time we tend to hide our mistakes because everyone does so...why to get attached with mistakes, why not just simply hide them, because saying sorry, apologising and accepting mistakes is considered to be a part of failure in society...but one thing i want to make clear is that mistakes are not part of failure, rather part of being human. as an adult, as a sensible cognition, you have to accept mistakes and accept that it is one of the essential part of the journey. nothing works absolute, the bigger things you try, the more things you try, the more mistakes you have to witness, because that's how learning works.
remember when Edison said that i have not failed 1000 times, rather i found 1000 ways in which things won't work. the shift in perspective changes the whole thing.
with the mistakes, we are always very less susceptible to owing them. either we dismiss them as situational or we play a blame game. and why we do so is because accepting mistakes makes you smaller...and that's what people perceive. but this leads to a development of barrier which stops you from doing new things, learning new things and becoming more better person. that's why courage to admit them is actually beneficial and that's how some great person saw them.
Carl Jung is a famous psychiatrist ..and he gave a concept of owning your shadow. for him, shadow is your part, its nothing to be afraid, rather to be accepted.
people on the other hand are somewhat shallow, but it ain't their mistakes because not everybody operate all the same level. that's why you can't expect a person to be such sensible like this. as a matter of fact, we tend to switch to shortcuts rather than whole details. as a famous cliche, we judge others by their actions and we judge ourselves by our intentions.
Other than people itself, the fear of people's opinion haunt us...and that thing dealt as
1. what you think about yourselves ?
2. the other person will always judge you, neither praise nor insults is fully yourself rather momentarily.
3. they don't have enough data about you
4. if someone is your own, he/she will not be bothered by mistakes alone, rather what you do after mistakes. they will ask, they will discuss, not simply boycott.
other than that it is all noise.
mistakes and the fear of mistakes always carry a sense of nervousness. it is alright to feel so. many people while dealing with new things face nervousness and if you compare yourself because you are nervous and others are not, trust you don't actually know the other person.
nervousness always be there and courage is not absence of such things rather doing your action despite it's presence. so next time, if you nervous, remember it is okay to be felt so. don't oppose or don't sorry for yourself. Also we always think ourselves as best, but in reality we exist in grey, so that's why never take yourself too much seriously, consider yourself as much as it could be. Since at the end, you are not more than a human and human did mistakes.
many people hold on to their mistakes and can't able to let them go. it is not easy to accept and let them go. it is quite difficult as pride or sense of self worth comes in between. and that's where one needs to be humble , not to become big but to become happy and not letting mistakes go.
while trying out new things, you should focus on procedure , not on the mistakes. sometimes, consciously you have to avoid thinking about every mistakes and attaching your self worth with it. you have to learn and let them go because accepting the mistakes won't actually correct them , it corrects you and mistakes corrected by not repeating them and learning from them.
don't let mistakes stop you from going where your heart wants to go.
